The MEW2015 “Down to Work – Back to Business” seminar is being hosted by LMETB / VTOS Navan in conjunction with Meath Enterprise, Meath LEO and the Dept of Social Protection on 16th November in LMETB Alpha Learning Centre in Athboy from 10.00 to 12.30pm (followed by light refreshments & networking)
If you are unemployed and would like to explore different options and opportunities regarding upskilling, getting back to work or starting your own business, then you need to attend this event.
A panel of experts and speakers will give you the information you need to set you on the road to achieving your goals and our qualified advisors will be on hand to assist with any queries, concerns or ideas you may have.

VTOS Navan Awards Night 2015

VTOS Navan Awards night takes place this Friday in the Ardboyne Hotel. Class of 2015 will receive their certificates in QQI Level 4 General Learning, QQI Level 5 General Learning (Cloud Computing), Critical Writing and Student of the Year Awards. The night will be a fantastic celebration and we will hear from entertaining guest speakers.

| Tuesday 1st Sept | 10.00 – 12.00 | Leaving Cert & Unistart Registration | All students should bring PPS Number, Bank Account Details, Medical Card and academic Certs ie FETAC Leaving Cert etc. |
| Wednesday 2nd Sept | 10.00 – 12.00 | Cloud and EBusiness Registration | All students should bring PPS Number, Bank Account Details, Medical Card and academic Certs ie FETAC Leaving Cert etc. |
| Thursday 3rd Sept | 10.00 – 12.00pm | Orientation & Welcome day – All VTOS Students | MABS, Citizens Information, Navan Library, Bank of Ireland will give help to students who need to open bank accounts |

Unemployed and wondering what to do next?
Why not get that qualification and support which will get you back into the workforce? We have very high success rates in helping our students progress into further education with the majority of students receiving college place offers. We have a variety of full-time courses on offer here in VTOS Navan including:
Leaving Certificate
Participants in this programme take Leaving Certificate subjects at ordinary or higher level. After completion of this programme many participants go on to college, employment or UniStart.
Cloud Computing
This is a FETAC Level 5 Major Award and the modules on the course include Communications, Maths, Digital Marketing, The Internet, Web Authoring, Cloud Computing Principals, CompTIA Strata, Work Experience, Research & Study Skills, Drama & Cooking. After completion of this programme many participants go on to college, employment or UniStart.
General Learning
This is a FETAC Level 4 Major Award and the modules on the course include Communications, Maths, Digital Media Technology, IT Skills, Human Biology, Spanish, Work Experience, Drama & Cooking. After completion of this programme many participants go on to Leaving certificate, Cloud Computing or employment.
UNISTART
On this course students develop critical writing skills, time management, teamwork, research & study skills. They have access to extensive guidance, CAO preparation, interview preparation and direct contact with Access officers from a range of Universities and colleges. Most UniStart graduates progress on to college.
These courses are free to eligible applicants who are over 21 years of age and in receipt of a Social Welfare payment for 6 months or more. Payments are maintained while attending the course and vary due to individual circumstances.

PMV Trust Coffee Morning Hosted by VTOS Navan – Slideshow
Well the Coffee Morning & Raffle were an outstanding success. We are still taking donations and tickets for the final raffle on Friday are available at Alpha reception and VTOS for €1. The prize is the fabulous, festive wall-hanging created by our Coordinator Margaret. Meath Enterprise Week – Conference
The Cloud students, teachers Helen Curley and Jan Carroll as well as our Coordinator Margaret Deegan, will be attending and exhibiting and the Meath Enterprise Week Conference and Showcase. The event takes place and the Knightsbrook Hotel, Trim on Thursday 20th November from 12:30. We are looking forward to meeting local businesses and letting them know what we have to offer.
